Waste & Texture Margin

Heavily textured substrates (such as granular modified bitumen or rough concrete) require 10% to 15% more coating material due to surface profile and roller nap absorption.

Application Best Practices

Surface Preparation: Power wash the roof surface to remove all dirt, algae, and loose debris before coating. Allow 24 hours of dry, sunny weather for full moisture evaporation before applying coatings.

Seam & Penetration Reinforcement: Before broad-coating, reinforce all roof penetrations, flashings, skylights, and horizontal seams with fabric reinforcement tape embedded in liquid roof sealant.

Temperature Windows: Most elastomeric and acrylic coatings require temperatures above 50°F (10°C) for 24 hours to cure properly. Avoid applying when rain is forecast within 24 to 48 hours.
